Kashmir and Terrorism

On April 22, 2025, in Pahalgam, the attack on tourists was not only pre-planned but also had full support and cooperation from local Kashmiri Muslims. There is a deep-seated hatred in their minds and hearts towards non-Muslims, especially Hindus, that leads them to act without hesitation in committing such inhumane acts.

The terrorists cannot carry out these actions alone without assistance and backing from the local Muslim residents of the area. They spend time socialising with them, sharing meals and drinks, before emerging from their hideouts to carry out their malicious plans – to kill Hindus, kill non-Muslims.

Kashmir relies heavily on income from tourism, attracting visitors from various parts of the country and the world, including states like Karnataka, Maharashtra, West Bengal, and Uttar Pradesh, who are predominantly Hindus and other non-Muslim communities. Do the Kashmiri people not feel any shame in accepting this hard-earned money while their hands are stained with the blood of Hindus?

It seems they do not. Many of the young men involved in terrorism come from families within the age range of 19 to 30, the current generation who have been indoctrinated to believe they must “kill all Kafirs.” I firmly believe that not only are Pakistani terrorists directly implicated in recent attacks in Kashmir, but they also manipulate and incite these young men in the name of religion and the false promise of a free Kashmir.

It is the footsteps of the dark nights of the 1990s with the slogan – Raliv, Galiv ya Chaliv, slowly crawling on the land of Paradise once again. If the local people of Kashmir keep silent and do not come out against terrorism, Kashmir will never be free from terrorism.

The only way to protest is for Hindus to unite in opinion, setting aside their egos and differences, and raise a strong voice to condemn strongly. We should not hide the truth or play it safe by making excuses. What is wrong and inhuman should be universally recognised, without the need for multiple theories. We should not blame any community for terrorism, but we should be vocal in acknowledging that in one religion, there are individuals who believe all non-believers are KAFIRS and that it is justified to kill them. This is only possible in India because we allow such thinking, execution, and justification to exist. This mindset must be stopped; only then will Kashmir be a real paradise, and local Kashmiri people can win back the trust.

This write-up is my silent protest against all inhuman acts of these terror-loving people, whose only aim is to create fear in this beautiful world. May the Almighty show them the correct path and guide them with love and care for mankind.
